Former Toy Factory on Summer Street Finds New Life as Apartment Complex
An old mill building on Summer Street in Leominster has been converted into a 36-apartment building, giving new life to a space that sat vacant for 10 years before the large-scale renovation began in 2019.
Developer Dan Botwinik of Cougar Capital was able to transform the property at 45 Summer St. into what it is today by working with the City of Leominster and Commonwealth to leverage a variety of tax credits and incentives.

2020 PRESERVATION AWARD
Cougar Capital was honored by Preservation Massachusetts with the 2020 Paul & Niki Tsongas Award for the renovations completed over 2013-2018 on these historic buildings in Salem, MA. Cougar Capital received State and Federal tax credits to make these projects possible, worked in partnership with a variety of local stakeholders, and served as the Developer and General Contractor to see these projects all the way through to occupancy
